TomTom: denies sale rumours, shares fall

(CercleFinance.com) - TomTom on Friday denied speculation about a potential sale of the company, which pushed its shares down over 6%.


Yesterday before trading ended, the Dutch maker of personal navigation devices saw its shares suddenly jump by 10.4% on unidentified market talks.

"In reaction to market rumours, TomTom denies it has engaged a financial advisor to look for potential buyers," the company said in a brief statement.
