Aegon: completes sale of Stonebridge

(CercleFinance.com) - Aegon has announced that it has completed the sale of Stonebridge, a British provider of accident insurance products, for total proceeds of approximately 60 million pounds to Global Premium Holdings.


Stonebridge provides hospitalisation and accidental death insurance policies to approximately 200,000 individual clients in the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Nordic countries and Ireland.

Announced in October 2020, this sale enables the Dutch insurer to simplify its business profile, in line with its active business portfolio management strategy. It has no material impact on Aegon's capital position and results.
