Airbus: first A330-900 delivered to ITA Airways

(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus has announced that ITA Airways, Italy's national airline, has taken delivery of its first A330-900 on lease from Air Lease Corporation.


It will join its fleet in June to serve new long-haul destinations.

With the introduction of the latest-generation eco-efficient A330neo, ITA Airways is continuing to modernise its fleet to meet its sustainable development objectives. The delivery flight will be powered by a 16% blend of sustainable aviation fuel.

The aircraft, named Gelindo Bordin in honour of the Italian Olympic marathon champion, will be fitted out in three classes, with 30 seats in business class with full beds, 24 seats in premium class and 237 seats in the latest-generation economy class.
