Airbus: to begin assembly of first A380 for Japan's ANA

(CercleFinance.com) - The sections of the first A380 of the Japanese airline All Nippon Airways (ANA) have arrived at Airbus' final assembly line in Toulouse via a special convoy, comprised of six sub-categories: the nose, central and aft fuselages, empennage, as well as both wings.

The first A380 is set for its final assembly next month.

The Japanese company ANA ordered three A380 in 2016, thus becoming the first Japanese buyer of the A380. The first delivery is scheduled for early 2019. The A380 will be used on the Tokyo-Honolulu line.

Today, 222 A380 are operated by 13 airlines which go to 60 destinations and 240 airports worldwide have the capacity to accept the A380 “superjumbo”.
