Airbus: the first A321neo delivered to Virgin America.

(CercleFinance.com) - European aircraft manufacturer Airbus said on Thursday that it has delivered the first ever A321neo of its history to Virgin America at a ceremony held in Hamburg, Germany.


The aircraft, which is equipped with a CFM International LEAP-1A engine, will be commissioned on 31 May for an inaugural flight from San Francisco International Airport to Washington's Ronald Reagan Airport, Airbus said in a statement.

The A321neo is the largest aircraft of the A320neo family; 1,300 planes have been ordered so far.
