STMicro: launches receiver for autonomous driving

(CercleFinance.com) - STMicroelectronics has announced the first GNSS multi-band receiver in the world, which has a high level of accuracy for autonomous driving and when meets auto safety standards.


This first multi-frequency receiver in the world is dedicated to navigation by satellite. It is intended for safety-critical automotive applications and high-precision positioning at centimetric and decimetric levels for PPP (Precise Point Positioning) and RTK (Real Time Kinematic) applications.

Embedded traditional navigation systems help drivers reach their destination by using receivers and commercial satellite communications services that provide precise positioning to within a few metres, the group said.
