Unilever: share buyback program now complete

(CercleFinance.com) - Consumer goods giant Unilever said on Monday that it has completed its share buyback program, acquiring close to 2.
8 million shares for a total of 165 million euros.

Under this program, 995,000 Unilever PLC shares and 1,787,000 Unilever N.V. shares have been purchased, the company said.

In addition, 81,000 American Depositary Shares (ADS) and 891,000 so-called "New York Registry Shares" have been bought back, it said.

Last year, Unilever completed a 6 billion euro share buyback program to return the proceeds of the sale of its spreads business to shareholders.
