Unilever: Oddo BHF unimpressed by new boss

(CercleFinance.com) - This morning Broker Oddo BHF maintains its neutral rating on the share of the Anglo-Dutch consumer goods giant Unilever.

Indeed, Alan Jope will take over from Paul Polman at the company's helm, although this is "the choice of continuity," analysts say, who maintain their target price of 48 euros.

The appointment of the head of Beauty & Personal care (Mr Jope, ed.) is reassuring regarding the group's strategic direction, however, it is still a choice of continuity, which is probably wise for a company group that has undergone major transformations over the past ten years, the broker says in its report.

Oddo BHF concludes, saying that this choice should leave part of the market still in expectation, while some had been hoping for an acceleration of change.
