Unilever: could soon buy out Reckitt's food division.

(CercleFinance.com) - The Anglo-Dutch group Unilever and the US Hormel Foods would be best placed to buy the food brands from the British group Reckitt Benckiser, according to Aurel BGC, which cites the Sunday Times.


The broker's analysts point out that in April Reckitt Benckiser had announced that it was studying available options for the future of this division, with its sale potentially raising 2.2 billion pounds.

Present mainly in hygiene, health and housekeeping products, in the food segment Reckitt Benckiser, has the American mustard and condiments brand French's.
