Unilever: share buyback programme kicking off tomorrow.
(CercleFinance.com) - Unilever said on Thursday that it would start a share buyback program tomorrow, with plans to repurchase a total of 5 billion euros of stock.
The plan, as previously announced on 6 April, will be applied to both Unilever PLC and Unilever N.V. ordinary shares.
Under the terms of the programme, between 1.5 billion and 2.5 billion euros will be bought back on the London Stock Exchange in the form of Unilever PLC ordinary shares.
The balance of the total 5 billion euros will be bought back on Euronext in Amsterdam in the form of Unilever N.V. ordinary shares.
The programme will end by December 2017 at the latest.
