SES: contract extended with US Army

(CercleFinance.com) - SES announced on Monday that SES Government Solutions, its subsidiary dedicated exclusively to the needs of the US government, has renewed a contract with the US Army for a period that could extend to five years.


The Luxembourg-based satellite operator said it had been awarded an extension to the Trojan network contract by the US Intelligence and Security Command (Inscom) contract for the Trojan network.

The contract, originally awarded in 1998, provides global satellite solutions to enable access to a complete network.

The agreement also includes technical support for the systems as well as global network maintenance operations.

Following the announcement, SES shares are currently up about 1% in Paris, outperforming a market that is down about 0.7% at the same time.
