SES: multi-year contract with BBC Studios

(CercleFinance.com) - SES says that it has been chosen by BBC Studios (BBCS) and its subsidiary UKTV to manage the broadcasting and distribution of over 50 linear channels and associated video on demand (VOD) services.


Under the multi-year contract, the satellite operator will provide playout, content management, distribution and VOD services, broadcasting BBCS and UKTV content in the UK and to its global network of affiliates.

These services will be delivered worldwide by SES from Europe, with the technical playout infrastructure provided by the new SES Stockley Park site in London, with the operational management provided by the SES site in Munich.
