Toyota: announces name of lunar vehicle

(CercleFinance.com) - Japanese aerospace exploration agency JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) and Toyota Motor Corporation have announced the name of their lunar vehicle, the Lunar Cruiser.


Both entities are currently conducting a joint research program on a pressurised manned vehicle driven by a fuel cell electric motor.

"JAXA and Toyota will gather the knowledge, experience and technological capabilities of enterprises from across a variety of industries in their attempt to realize their dream of sustaining continuous activities on the surface of the moon as 'Team Japan'".
