Toyota: studying space exploration vehicle with JAXA
(CercleFinance.com) - The Japanese aerospace exploration agency JAXA and Toyota Motor Corporation have announced that they are studying a potential collaboration in the field of international space exploration.
JAXA and Toyota plan to continue and accelerate a study of an inhabited and pressurised vehicle that is driven by a hydrogen fuel cell electric motor. Despite the limited amount of transportable energy to the moon, it has a total range of over 10,000 km.
Akio Toyoda, President of Toyota said: "Going beyond the frameworks of countries or regions, I believe that our industry, which is constantly thinking about the role it should fulfill, shares the same aspirations of international space exploration."
