Telecom Italia: posts 'solid' first-quarter results

(CercleFinance.com) - Telecom Italia announced "solid results" for the first quarter, driven by positive domestic performance and strong growth in Brazil.


TIM - of which Vivendi is no longer a party exercising direction - said comparable net profit stood at 250 million euros, compared with 200 million euros in the first quarter of 2017.

Group revenues came in at 4.7 billion euros, up 2.7% year-on-year in organic terms.

"In Italy, both the mobile and fixed ultra-broadband (UBB) customer base, together with average revenue per user (ARPU), are steadily growing," said CEO Amos Genish.

Listed in Milan, the TIM shares were up 1.1% after these results.
