Eni: extends partnership with NextChem

(CercleFinance.com) - On Friday Eni announced an extension of its partnership with NextChem, the subsidiary of Mayor Tecnimont specialised in green chemistry, one year after the signature of their first agreement in circular technologies.


The Italian energy group explains that with NextChem it will study the feasibility of a refinery project near Bari to produce new synthesis gases from plasmix, a material resulting from selective sorting, and dry waste by a chemical recycling process that can generate hydrogen.

Both groups were already collaborating in the engineering of a project for a plant to produce hydrogen from waste near Venice and another project for a site to produce methanol, again from waste, near Livorno.
