Generali: EU regulator approves Saxo Bank joint venture

(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission has approved the online trading joint venture between Generali and Saxo Bank.


The Commission said the project would raise no competition concerns, because the companies' combined market shares remain very limited on the markets concerned.

The joint venture will focus on online trading services in Italy.

The transaction was examined under the simplified merger review procedure.

Saxo Bank is now part of the Chinese conglomerate Geely.
