Linde: announces 1 billion dollar share buyback plan

(CercleFinance.com) - German industrial gas maker Linde has approved share buybacks of 1 billion dollars to "immediately take advantage of an opportunistic time for stock repurchases," it said.


"With a strong balance sheet and excess free cash flow, the company is well-positioned to reward shareholders through this first share buyback program," said CEO Steve Angel in a statement.

The program's expiry date has been set on 30 April 2019.

Linde also announced today a dividend of 0.825 dollar per share for the fourth quarter, payable on 27 December to shareholders of record on 18 December.
