Ryanair: to cancel another 250 flights tomorrow

(CercleFinance.com) - The airline Ryanair has announced the cancellation of 250 additional flights to and from Germany, which are scheduled for tomorrow, due to a strike movement amongst German pilots.


This is not the only industrial action that the airline will face on 10 August: some pilots in Ireland, Sweden and Belgium will also be on strike.

Ryanair's Marketing director Kenny Jacobs said: “We regret the decision of the (German Trade Union) VC to go ahead with this unnecessary strike action... Our pilots in Germany enjoy excellent working conditions. They are paid up to E190,000 p.a. and, as well as additional benefits, they received a 20% pay increase at the start of this year.”
