Accenture: exceeds consensus, but forecasts disappoint

(CercleFinance.com) - Accenture has published better-than-expected Q4 on Thursday, driven mainly by North America, although it also unveiled forecasts that fell short of expectations for its new fiscal year.

The consultancy group announced net profit of 1.69 billion dollars in the three months to 31 August, its Q4, against 1.44 billion dollars a year ago.

In local currencies, revenues increased by 22.4%.

EPS came in at 2.60 dollars (from 2.20 dollars a year ago), beating the consensus by two cents.

Revenue rose 15% to 15.4 billion dollars, in line with the consensus of 15.4 billion dollars, including a 22% increase in local currencies.

For the new current fiscal year, the group says it expects EPS of 11.09 to 11.41 dollars, below the consensus of 12 dollars.

The share was down 2% in pre-market trading on Wall Street following this publication.
