Accenture: CEO steps down due to health issues
(CercleFinance.com) - IT and consulting firm Accenture said on Friday that its chief executive officer Pierre Nanterme will step down immediately.
Accenture's chief financial officer, David Rowland, has been appointed by the board of directors to become interim chief executive officer, the company said. Nanterme became chief executive officer in January 2011, after spending close to 30 years working for the company. During his tenure, Accenture's revenues have grown from 25 billion dollars to 40 billion dollars in 2018, with a market cap that has increased from 70 billion dollars to 108 billion dollars.
