Accenture: signs three-year deal with AB InBev in Africa

(CercleFinance.com) - Accenture is helping AB InBev, the world's largest brewer, to improve its sales operations in Africa with a new distribution management system, the IT consulting group said on Wednesday.

Under the terms of the three-year deal, Accenture will implement the latest version of DMS, including initial roll-out in Mozambique, Zambia, Ghana and Nigeria.

As part of the project, Accenture will also upgrade the system in Tanzania and Uganda, where AB InBev has already been using DMS for over three years.

The solution will help AB InBev to control special offers, improve productivity and streamline inventory and sales processes and distributor claims, the outsourcing company said.

The Salesforce-based solution will be used by over 1,570 mobile and 620 back-office users and provided to over a hundred of AB InBev's distributors.
