Vodafone: FY EBITDA down 1.2% to E14.4bn

(CercleFinance.com) - Total revenue decreased by 2.
6% to 43.8 billion euros in FY 2021 (vs. 45.0 billion euros in FY 2020).

The acquisition of Liberty Global's assets in Germany and Central and Eastern Europe were offset by lower roaming, visitor and handset sales as a result of Covid-19 effects, adverse currency effects and the disposal of Vodafone New Zealand.

Adjusted EBITDA decreased by 1.2% to 14.4 billion euros, as a result of a further 0.5 billion euro cut in in net operating expenses in Europe, which largely mitigated the impact of COVID.

Free cash flow (before restructuring and integration costs) reached 5.0 billion euros, in line with expectations.

The total dividend per share reached 0.09 euro, including a final dividend per share of 4.5 euro cents.
