Vodafone: to sell communications towers in India.

(CercleFinance.com) - Vodafone India is going to sell to American Tower thousands of its communications towers in a deal also involving its Indian competitor Idea Cellular.


As part of the deal, American Tower will add an aggregate of approximately 20,000 Vodafone and Idea's communications sites to its existing Indian portfolio.

The total cash consideration for the transactions is expected to be approximately 1.2 billion dollars, American Tower said.
