easyJet: to develop sustainability with Rolls-Royce

(CercleFinance.com) - Today, Rolls-Royce has confirmed its collaboration with easyJet to develop the sustainability of commercial aircraft across the industry.


As part of this deal, the two partners will conduct a two-year study starting from January 2022. They will explore alternative energy solutions, including low-carbon and zero-emission technologies, and their application in planes.

The study will also look at the operational ecosystem, including production, transportation, storage and handling.

Through this initiative, the airline and the engine manufacturer are seeking to improve their knowledge of ground-breaking technology such as electrical and hydrogen-based power systems, which show great potential for decarbonisation.
