easyJet: flight cancellations sextupled in June

(CercleFinance.com) - In June, easyJet carried 7.
9 million passengers (excluding Berlin Tegel airport), up 2.3% year-on-year.

The load factor increased by 0.5% to 95.4%.

The low-cost British airline also reported 1,263 flight cancellations last month (about 2.7% of planned capacity), compared to just 213 in June 2017.

About 900 of these cancellations are due to French and Italian strike action, and another 150 were caused by traffic restrictions by civil aviation authorities due to adverse weather conditions, the company said.
