Reckitt: group exceeds consensus in H1
(CercleFinance.com) - British consumer products group Reckitt reported better-than-expected H1 results on Wednesday, raising its annual targets in the process, which boosted its share price (+4.
5% at present).
The maker of Airwick, Calgon and Woolite home care products, as well as Strepsil throat lozenges, amongst other household names, announced an 11.9% LFL increase in H1 sales, well above the consensus, which was looking for a 6.8% increase.
At the same time, its adjusted operating margin improved 2.9 points to 25.6%.
For 2022, Reckitt now expects to record LFL sales growth of 5% to 8%, compared with a previous forecast of 1% to 4%.
