Shell: wins floating wind tender in Scotland
(CercleFinance.com) - Shell has announced that it has secured seabed rights, alongside partner ScottishPower, to develop large-scale floating wind farms as part of ScotWind, an offshore wind lease in Scottish waters being developed by Crown Estate Scotland.
The partners have won two sites totalling 5 gigawatts (GW) off the east and north-east coasts of Scotland.
The new wind farms will be delivered through two joint ventures called MarramWind and CampionWind, combining Shell and ScottishPower's decades of experience.
