Shell: partnership with IBM for mining sector

(CercleFinance.com) - Shell and IBM said on Wednesday that they have joined forces in a digital services platform for companies in the mining sector.


Both companies say that they have jointly developed a common marketplace called "Oren" to help mining companies improve their safety management, planning and operational efficiency.

Amongst other things, the platform integrates IBM's Watson industrial failure detection tool and a remote oil condition monitoring solution developed by Shell.
