William Hill: expects 2018 operating profit to fall

(CercleFinance.com) - William Hill has said that its adjusted operating profit for 2018 is expected to be around 234 million pounds, down about 15% relative to 2017, in line with its target range of 225 pounds to 245 million pounds.


The British sports betting group adds that its underlying operating profit has increased by about 4%, excluding increased customer due diligence measures in online activities and expansion costs in the United States.

"With rapid expansion underway in the US, building on profitable foundations, and the acquisition of Mr Green nearing completion, we look forward to making further progress this year," said CEO Philip Bowcock.
