Intertek: solid start to year.

(CercleFinance.com) - 2017 has started pretty well for Intertek, with the group reporting a 14.
2% y-o-y increase in revenues over the first four months of 2017 to 883.5 million pounds (+1.8% at constant currencies).

Organic growth also reached 0.9% over the first four months, driven by the strength of the "Products and Commerce" business, which more than offset the current setbacks seen in the "Resources" segment.

Optimistic, Intertek also reiterated its targets for strong organic growth over the year, coupled with a moderate improvement in margins and net debt in the range of 650 million to 700 million pounds (excluding Mergers and Acquisitions).

Suffering from profit taking, the stock is down slightly under 0.5% in early afternoon trading in London at 4,292 pence. However, it has risen by over 23% since 1 January.
