Barclays: AlphaValue double upgrades stock

(CercleFinance.com) - AlphaValue said on Friday that it had upgraded its rating on Barclays from "sell" to "add", highlighting the successful capital redeployment implemented by the British bank.


In its comments, the Parisian broker - which has a target price of 184 pence for the stock - mentions the strength of its corporate and investment banking (CIB) activities, as well as a normalisation in its risk provisions.

Analysts say it has also cut its forecasts for credit impairments by 25% for 2021, due to the faster-than-expected normalisation of its risk provisions.

The share is up over 3% after lunch on Friday.
