M&S: new Managing Director of food

(CercleFinance.com) - On Thursday UK retail giant Marks & Spencer announced the appointment of a new managing director of its food subsidiary.


Stuart Machin, who is currently Group CEO of Steinhoff UK, will join M&S at the end of April and will be responsible for all aspects of M&S Food's business, the group said in a statement. He is being appointed Managing Director of Food in a move designed to overhaul M&S' Food arm as it accelerates its business-wide transformation plan, the group added.

He will report to M&S CEO Steve Rowe and will work closely with Jill McDonald, who is Head of the Clothing and Home Divisions.
