BP: invests in ultra-fast battery charging

(CercleFinance.com) - BP Ventures today announces that it is investing 20 million dollars in StoreDot, a company that specialises in the development, design and manufacture of ultra-fast charging batteries.


StoreDot expects to be able to market a battery for mobile communications (mainly smartphones) from 2019.

Indeed, BP Ventures sees further, as the BP investment group believes that, "StoreDot's technology shows real potential for car batteries that can charge in the same time it takes to fill a gas tank ".
