Rio Tinto: appoints A.P. Moller-Maersk's former CFO

(CercleFinance.com) - Global miner Rio Tinto has said that it has appointed former A.
P. Moller-Maersk financial chief Jakob Stausholm to succeed Chris Lynch as chief financial officer, as from September.

After spending several years with the oil companies Statoil and Royal Dutch Shell, Stausholm joined the Danish shipping giant Maersk in 2012.

He has over 20 years' experience working in senior finance roles in Europe, Latin America and Asia, Rio Tinto said.

Chris Lynch will stand down from Rio Tinto's board on 3 September and will retire from Rio Tinto on 30 September, following a "smooth transition" to Stausholm, it added.
