HSBC: John Flint named CEO.
(CercleFinance.com) - It's now official: through a press release HSBC has announced John Flint's promotion to the position of Group chief executive.
He will succeed Stuart Gulliver from 21 February, after a period of transition.
John Flint has been working at HSBC since 1989. He is currently chief executive of Retail Banking and Wealth Management at HSBC.
This is a new stage in the restructuring of the banking giant's management team following the appointment of Mark Tucker, a former executive from Prudential, to the position of non-executive chairman.
