BAT: reorganises regional structure
(CercleFinance.com) - Tobacco group BAT announces a number of senior management changes and a new regional structure to streamline and accelerate its business transformation.
BAT says that this new structure should increase the efficiency of the company's geographic footprint by relying on fewer and larger business units, enabling even greater collaboration and accelerated decision-making.
BAT's new structure will thus decrease from four to three regions: United States (Reynolds American Inc.), Americas and Europe (AME) and Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa (APMEA), while the number of business units will drop from 16 to 12.
These structural changes and related appointments will take effect from 1 April 2023.
