BHP Billiton: impact of US tax reform

(CercleFinance.com) - BHP Billiton, the Australian-British mining giant, has reviewed the consequences of the cut in corporate taxation in the US, which came into effect at the beginning of 2017, with the rate cut from 35% to 21%.


Present in the US, the group will integrate an exceptional charge of 1.8 billion dollars into its accounts (no effect on its cash), which is particularly to the effects of the tax cut on deferred taxation.

However, BHP Billiton adds that this tax reform will, have a positive long-term effect on its results.
