FDJ: off to a flying start - first trades at 23 euros

(CercleFinance.com) - It's done: the first French shares of Française des Jeux (FDJ) have just been traded in Paris, with its IPO a huge success.

Compared to its reference price of 19.9 euros, the share has soared by almost 20% in its first exchanges, to 23 euros.

For the record, the share of the company that is mainly responsible for the monopoly of the French lottery, and which is also present in sporting bets, was introduced at a reference price located at the top of the indicative range of 16.50 euros to 19.90 euros.

After this flotation, the French State has reduced its stake in FDJ's capital from 72% to 20%.
