ALD: acquires vehicle leasing portfolio in Portugal

(CercleFinance.com) - ALD has said that on 26 April it signed an agreement to acquire BBVA's vehicle rental portfolio in Portugal, a deal which will be finalised after approval from the Portuguese competition regulatory authority.


This deal also includes an agreement under which BBVA will provide its corporate and individual customers in Portugal with a leasing solution, along with all associated services, managed by ALD.

This agreement reinforces the first acquisition and distribution agreement with BBVA in Spain in 2017. At the end of March 2019, ALD had a total fleet of 1.68 million vehicles in the world, including 21,000 vehicles in Portugal.
