Soitec: to enter SBF 120 index on 20 March.

(CercleFinance.com) - The Soitec share is soaring over 7% this morning, after the scientific council of Euronext Paris indices decided to "promote" the share to one of the components of the major indices SBF 120 and CAC Mid 60 from 20 March, replacing CGG.


At the same time, the share of the semi-conductor specialist will cease to belong to the CAC Small small-cap index, Euronext said after its quarterly review.

The change in the composition of indices particularly takes into account liquidity and capitalisation criteria, with Soitec accounting for 1.3 billion euros.

Yesterday, Soitec also announced the start to production of 200 mm SOI plates at its Chinese industrial partner Shanghai Simgui Technology.
