Valeo: successful sustainability-linked bond issue

(CercleFinance.com) - Valeo announced on Wednesday that it had successfully placed its 750 million euro bond issue that is indexed to a sustainable development objective, which will mature in May 2027.


The automotive supplier said that it placed the new bonds yesterday, which have a maturity of four and a half years and a coupon of 5.375%.

These bonds - issued under the new Green and Sustainability-Linked Financing Framework, as defined last year, will be used to finance the general corporate needs.

For the record, Valeo is committed to becoming net zero by 2050, with an intermediate target of reducing its emissions by 45% in 2030 relative to 2019.

Valeo shares are currently down just over 1% in a very flat Parisian market.
