Edenred: acquires Benefit Online in Romania

(CercleFinance.com) - Edenred announces the acquisition of Benefit Online, a pioneer in the development of employee engagement platforms in Romania, which enables the French group to strengthen its leading position in the Romanian employee benefits market.


Founded in 2013, Benefit Online currently has over 100,000 active users. Through this digital platform, companies give their employees the opportunity to individually select the food, leisure or health benefits that they would like to receive.

This transaction, which remains subject to the approval by the competent competition authorities, will be accretive to Edenred's net income group share as of 2019. The financial terms of the transaction were not specified.
