Suez: acquisition of hazardous waste from Veolia

(CercleFinance.com) - Suez and Veolia have announced the signature of an agreement for Suez's acquisition, for 690 million euros, of all the hazardous waste assets in France within the framework of the commitments made by Veolia to the European Commission regarding competition.


The agreement is evidenced by a unilateral promise to purchase which will enable the parties to finalise the deal, as well as the consultations with Veolia's employee representative bodies and the obtaining of the necessary regulatory authorisations.

Suez specifies that the agreement will be carried out in compliance with all the social commitments announced by both groups.
