Suez: wins contract in Egypt

(CercleFinance.com) - Suez has won a contract to operate and maintain one of Africa's largest wastewater treatment plants in Egypt.


The contract covers the operation and maintenance of two treatment lines, each with a capacity of 500,000 m3 per day, as well as the rehabilitation of the plant's supervision and power generation systems.

Suez will also conduct optimisation work to enable the plant to increase its self-sufficiency in energy from 55% to over 65%, with the production of electricity from biogas generated by the treatment of sewage sludge.
