Suez: builds plant to process waste wood in Belgium

(CercleFinance.com) - Suez and Indaver announce their construction of a plant for the treatment of non-recyclable wood waste in Doel near Antwerp, Belgium.


Called "E-Wood", the plant will transform this residual waste into renewable energy and contribute to the area's development.

E-Wood will have an annual processing capacity of 180,000 tonnes of non-recyclable wood waste (treated or rotting wood, woody material from composted wood products, etc.). The flows will come from Belgium and neighboring countries (the Netherlands, Germany and France). The facility will produce 20 MWh of electricity.

The plant will be commissioned in 2021.
