Suez: inaugurates a carbon sink with Fermentalg
(CercleFinance.com) - The company Fermentalg announces the inauguration of a new carbon sink on the VALO'MARNE energy recovery unit located in Créteil, near Paris, as part of an exclusive collaboration agreement with Suez.
Aiming to improve air quality through the use of microalgae, this carbon sink will test the device's ability to capture and fix the CO2 molecules on an industrial process.
The biomass resulting from the device will be treated at the purification plant of the Syndicat Interdepartmental pour l'Assainissement de l'Agglomération Parisienne (SIAAP) and may then be upgraded to green energy to supply the urban gas network, for example.
