Rexel: completes acquisition of Mayer

(CercleFinance.com) - Electrical supplies distributor Rexel has announced that it has completed the acquisition of 100% of Mayer in the United States, a transaction that it announced a month ago, which it says marks a new strategic step to strengthen its presence in its key markets.


Based in Birmingham, Alabama, Mayer operates 68 branches in 12 states, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Pennsylvania. It has 1,200 employees and generated revenues of 1.2 billion dollars over the last 12 months to end-August 2021.

Based on an enterprise value of 456 million dollars, the transaction is expected to be accretive to Rexel's EPS in year one and value accretive in year two, Rexel said in early October.
