ADP: rises further on privatisation rumours.

(CercleFinance.com) - With Emmanuel Macron's presidential term of office having just begun, the potential “privatisation” of Aéroports de Paris (ADP) is being talked about again.


The news agency Bloomberg yesterday reported that Vinci, which already has an 8% stake in the French airport operator, is considering making an offer to the State to take control of ADP.

Rising 3% yesterday, the ADP share is up a further 1.5% this morning on the Paris Stock Exchange.

To date, the State holds 50.6% of ADP's capital, which is has a total market capitalisation of over 14 billion euros. During his presidential campaign, Macron mentioned several privatisations; since his election, the ADP share has risen by around 25%.

Bloomberg believes that the French State intends to sell its stake - not in a single block, but rather in parts.
