Arkema: Q3 EBITDA up 4%

(CercleFinance.com) - Arkema has published a underlying earnings of 260 million euros for Q3 2022 (a fraction above the 258 million euros announced a year ago), i.
e. 3.52 euros per share, with EBITDA up 4.4% to 495 million euros, i.e. a margin of 16.7%.

The chemicals group said that an 8.3% increase in EBITDA from speciality materials, driven by the adhesives and advanced materials segments, more than offset an 18.1% decline in EBITDA from intermediates.

Its sales increased by 23.9% to nearly three billion euros, driven by the growth in demand for high value-added solutions in batteries, lightweighting, biosourced or recycled materials, 3D printing, etc.

Arkema confirms its FY 2022 EBITDA target of 2.1 billion euro, i.e. about 20% up at a constant consolidation scope compared to 2021.
